Entering Duplicate Text – Non-Adjacent Cells

If you require duplicate data entered into a number of cells non-adjacent to each other – you can do this quickly and easily.

  1. Select the individual cells by selecting the first one and then holding the CTRL key whilst clicking on the other cells E.g. B6,B8,B10,B11,B13 and B14
  2. The last cell selected (B14) is the active cell and is white whilst the others are shaded grey
  3. Do not click B14 but simply start typing “North” and then hold the CTRL key whilst pressing the Enter key
  4. This will enter the word “North” into each of the cells in the selected range.
